1. Click the "Donate" button above.
2. On the PayPal screen, choose either the "Donate with PayPal" or "Donate by Debit or Credit Card" button.
3. IMPORTANT: Please be sure to click the gray pencil to "Add special instructions to the seller" and type "6th Grade Camp" and your student's name. This step is very important so we know to attribute your payment toward 6th Grade Camp.
4. Make a note of the PayPal confirmation number and you are done!
The 6th Grade Camp experience takes students out of the classroom and into nature for a week-long field trip that will create lasting memories. While the San Diego Unified School District no longer funds 6th Grade Camp, we are fortunate at Pershing that our 6th Graders still have the privilege of going to Camp Cuyamaca. But in order to go, we must ensure every 6th Grader has the opportunity to attend.
The cost per student for the five-day camp is $350. This fee includes lodging, meals, insurance, and transportation. We recognize some families may not able to afford the entire $350 for their student, so raising funds is critical. Please watch for information from the 6th Grade Camp Committee on fundraising opportunities.
Our 6th Graders are scheduled to attend camp from March 23-27, 2020.
Camp letters were sent out in early November. Please return your student's letter as soon as possible indicating whether your 6th Grader will be attending and how you intend to pay. Cash, credit card (via PayPal), and check (made out to Pershing Middle School Foundation) payments may be submitted any time. Payment plans are available. Please contact the 6th Grade Camp Committee or the Office by December 20, 2019, to make arrangements for payment.
